You agree that you have never been convicted of a felony and agree to allow Idaho Medical Academy (IMA) to run a criminal history background check on you at any time with or without notice. You further understand that if a felony or any other false statements pertaining to your eligibility to apply for and receive an EMT certification issued by the State of Idaho and/or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) is discovered you will be discharged from the course with forfeiture of all fees paid.

Idaho Medical Academy does not guarantee employment for its graduates.

You agree that full payment is due by the first day of class unless other payment plans have been approved by Idaho Medical Academy.

(SKILLS WEEK INFO) – Please carefully read the following section and email us if you have any questions before completing registration.

When registration is complete you will be given access to the online learning component of the blended learning course. If you do not get an email with your course link within the hour please contact us. You have up to one year from your start date to complete the online learning component of the blended learning course. If you have not completed the online learning portion within one year of the start date you will not be eligible to complete the training. If you wish to continue your training after the one-year access to the online learning component has expired you will pay tuition in full to begin another course. Tuition rates are subject to change and only current rates will be honored.

In order to attend your chosen skills week for the blended learning course you MUST have completed 4 of the 6 course sections two (2) weeks prior to the start date of the skills week. Additionally, the student will need to complete the online program in its entirety one (1) week before coming in to skills week. You will be DROPPED from the course if either of these conditions are not met:

  • 4 of 6 course sections completed two (2) week prior to the skills week
  • entirety of the online program completed one (1) week prior to the skills week

If dropped, you may re-register for a different skills week after completing the following requirements:

  • completed 4 of the 6 course sections of the online learning component
  • pay $400 re-registration fee

Within the first 30 days of course registration, students may switch to any skills week free of charge. This is to allow students to familiarize themselves with the course before fully committing to a future skills week date. After the 30 days, the $400 fee must be paid to delay your skills week. If a student wishes to move their skills week to an earlier time, contact us to check availability and we can move you free of charge.

Extenuating circumstances that require a change in a student’s skills week will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the Education Director and General Manager. Documentation of these extenuating circumstances which are life altering and catastrophic in nature will be required.

You are responsible for your own transportation to the training facilities and all clinical sites.

You understand that you must hold a cumulative score of 80% at the end of the EMT course final examination. Failure to maintain a cumulative score of 80% at the end of the course will be considered a failing grade and you will not be allowed to test for the NREMT Certification.

You will be subject to dismissal from the course for the following:  failure to meet a 90% attendance requirement, failure to complete clinical rotations including being dismissed from a clinical site for uniform or behavior violations, failure to maintain a cumulative score of 80%, non-payment, or violation of code of conduct.

You may voluntarily withdraw from the course with a request submitted in writing or by email to office@idahoacademy.com.
