Clinical time is mandatory and there is also extra optional clinical time available to students interested in obtaining more field experience. Your required clinical time will be scheduled by your instructors and is required to complete the course. Some of our optional clinical sites also require proof of current immunization status. We encourage you to discuss that with your instructor at the beginning of your course.

3. CPR certification and EMT certification – You must carry a current EMT certification and current CPR card equal to the AHA BLS Health Care Provider certification to earn your AEMT certification. Candidates who are seeking CPR certification can schedule a time to complete an AHA healthcare provider certification during or before the start of class. When registration is complete you will be given access to the online learning component of the blended learning course. This process can take up to 10 business days. You have up to one year from your start date to complete the online learning component of the blended learning course. If you have not completed the online learning portion within one year of the start date you will not be eligible to complete the training. If you wish to continue your training after the one-year access to the online learning component has expired you will pay tuition in full to begin another course. Tuition rates are subject to change and only current rates will be honored.

In order to attend your chosen skills week for the blended learning course you MUST have completed all the didactic materials up to and including the Medical Benchmark (roughly 50% of the online materials) at least 2 weeks prior to your skills week. In addition, all didactic material of the online learning component must be completed prior to the start date of the skills week. If you have not completed all didactic material of the online learning component you will automatically be DROPPED from the skills course. You may re-register for a different skills course after completing the following requirements:

  • completed all course sections of the online learning component
  • pay $400 re-registration fee

Within the first 30 days of course registration, students may switch to any skills week free of charge. This is to allow students to familiarize themselves with the course before fully committing to a future skills week date. After the 30 days, the $400 fee must be paid to delay your skills week. If a student wishes to move their skills week to an earlier time, contact us to check availability and we can move you free of charge.
